fuckyeahtattoos:

Ursula Vernon’s “Portrait Of The Artist With A Crow In Her Ribcage.”
I happen to be a longtime fan of hers… honestly about 10+ years
And my tattoo WIP and Fangirl Fail below:
My artist is Tim Plumley of Darkside Tattoos in Kankakee, Illinois. In my personal opinion, he is the best in the area.
Here it is after he spent about twenty minutes eyeballing the painting and drawing it on my back with Bic Markers.

And about halfway through with my first setting. It bordered somewhere on Excruciating and Not Excruciating.

And this is where I’m currently at. If I weren’t as poor as all god damn get out, I would have it done by now. Don’t even ask how long this has been a WIP. It’s too embarrassing.
And for those of you who are starting to get pissy with me for just up and tattooing someone else’s work on myself without asking, prepare to eat your damn hat.

Okay, so here I am a whole 8 or 9 hours after my first tattoo setting with Ursula Vernon at some convention I’d rather not name. I contacted her beforehand and asked if she would mind that I start said tattoo, and not only did she not mind, but was excited to see my progress. I was able to schedule my first session right before the start of the convention. And then, I got to walk up to my long time favorite artist and promptly tell her to watch as I removed my shirt. It was magical.*
*And by magical, I mean terrifying.
